F&O Position Size Calculator

How many lots fit inside your risk limit, given where the layout is invalidated. Uses current exchange lot sizes. Nothing you type leaves your browser.

e.g. the zone edge (Z)

e.g. S1 (or R1 when bearish)

e.g. R2, for the distance ratio

Direction follows from the levels: invalidation below entry is a bullish layout, above is bearish. Risk ignores slippage, gaps, brokerage and taxes, and options move by delta rather than one-for-one, so treat these as the futures-equivalent figures.

How it works

Risk per unit is the distance between your entry level and your invalidation level. Multiply by the lot size for the rupee risk of one lot, and divide your risk budget (capital × risk %) by that to get the number of whole lots that fit. If even one lot is over budget, the answer is zero lots.

The R:R figure compares the distance to the optional level ahead with the distance to invalidation. In an order block layout those are the zone edge (Z), the invalidation level (S1 or R1) and the liquidity level ahead (R2 or S2).

Lot sizes change periodically; see the current lot size table.
