How SAIL is measured

Zone Terminal tracks SAIL on finished 5-minute candles. A Break of Structure needs a candle to close beyond a confirmed swing level; the last opposing candle before that move becomes the Order Block, kept only when a Fair Value Gap or a strong displacement confirms it. From there the terminal derives the zone (Z), the invalidation level and the next untouched liquidity pools.

This page describes measurements only. It is not a recommendation to trade SAIL or any derivative on it.

SAIL F&O: quick answers

One SAIL F&O contract is 4700 units in the current series, per the exchange contract master (last updated 01 Nov 2026). Lot sizes are revised periodically, so confirm against the latest exchange circular.
When is the next SAIL expiry?
23 Nov 2026 (monthly). NSE contracts expire on Tuesdays; if that day is a trading holiday, expiry moves to the previous trading day.

No. Since SEBI's October 2024 measures, only NIFTY (NSE) and SENSEX (BSE) keep weekly options. SAIL expires monthly.
